Training Program in Collaboration with the General Authority for Investment’s Training Academy

El Tabakh Law Firm, in coordination withthe General Authority for Investment’s Training Academy, is pleased to announce a comprehensive training program titled “Preparing Corporate Lawyers for the Professional Market – Theoretical/Practical.” This initiative is designed to develop the skills and capabilities of recent graduates from the 2022/2023 cohorts of law and sharia faculties. The program will be offered at no cost, focusing on equipping participants with the necessary expertise for success in the corporate legal field.

  • Week One – Day One of the Training Program

     

    As part of the joint training program organized by El Tabakh Law Firm and the General Authority for Investment (Training Academy), the first day featured a series of valuable lectures:

    Mr. Atif Awwad delivered a lecture on the ethics and conduct of the legal profession, covering emerging legal fields such as legal technology, artificial intelligence, and intellectual property. He also highlighted job opportunities for the next generation of lawyers.

Mr. Omar El Tabakh presented on working in corporate law, discussing essential legal frameworks, different company structures, and the role of the Investment Authority in company formation.

    • Day Two
      Ms. Asmaa Magdy focused on types of companies, addressing practical challenges and solutions to provide a deep understanding of operational issues.

      Mr. Ahmed El Sayed lectured on company formation and amendments outside the Investment Authority, detailing the procedures and requirements necessary for this context.

 

Day One of Week Two – Training Program

In the past, as part of the training program organized by El Tabakh Law Firm in collaboration with the General Authority for Investment (Training Academy), the sessions included:

      • Mr. Bassem El-Nabrawy, Attorney at the General Authority for Investment, delivered a valuable lecture on company formation procedures within the Investment Authority, including a detailed explanation of electronic company registration procedures.

      • Mr. Khaled Abu Samra, Director of Legal Affairs at the General Authority for Investment, provided insights into the procedures and documentation for ordinary and extraordinary general meetings, and discussed mergers, acquisitions, and company divisions.

 
  • Week Three – Day One of the Training Program

As part of the training program organized by El Tabakh Law Firm in collaboration with the General Authority for Investment (Training Academy), the sessions included:

Mr. Kareem Awad delivered a lecture on industrial licensing for companies, covering various types of licenses, their procedures, the role of industrial chambers, and the importance of the industrial registry for companies.

Mr. Omar El Tabakh presented on investment systems in Egypt, distinguishing between domestic investment, investment in technological and economic zones, and free zone investment. He also discussed the establishment and licensing of projects under these systems, including necessary licenses for certain activities.

  • Day Two

Dr. Shaaban Alam Eddin discussed intellectual property protection, including general protection measures and specific protection for companies such as patents and industrial designs. He provided important advice for trainees about specializing in legal fields and practical tips for their future careers.

Dr. Mohamed El Khayat covered trademark protection, including the registration process, how to appeal if a trademark is rejected, litigation procedures for contested trademarks, and legal actions for trademark infringement.

 

Week Four – Day One of the Training Program

As part of the final week of the training program organized by El Tabakh Law Firm in collaboration with the General Authority for Investment (Training Academy), the sessions included:

Dr. Walid Wahba presented a lecture on alternative dispute resolution methods in investment, including detailed explanations of practical arbitration cases and how to draft an arbitration clause.

Dr. Osama El Alfi, Director of Legal Affairs at the Ministerial Committee for Investment Dispute Resolution, discussed the jurisdiction of the Complaints Committee of the Investment Authority, distinguishing it from the Ministerial Committee for Investment Dispute Resolution and the Ministerial Committee for Investment Contract Disputes. He provided a comprehensive overview of the required documents and procedures when approaching the Ministerial Committee for Investment Dispute Resolution.

  • Day Two

The final day of the training program featured:

Ms. Hala El Bahar delivered a lecture on resume writing skills for lawyers, focusing on how to effectively prepare a professional CV.

Counselor Mohamed Abdel-Fattah and Dr. Hanan Abdel-Gawad discussed the impact of body language for lawyers and its influence on others.

The day concluded with an evaluation test for the trainees to assess their knowledge and to select a group for further practical training at El Tabakh Law Firm. Certificates were awarded, and commemorative photos were taken.
